Brahmacharini Keychain · Navratri Night 2

Brahmacharini is the second of the nine forms of Durga: Parvati as the young ascetic, walking barefoot through years of tapas to win Shiva. She is worshipped on the second night of Navratri, and this is our keychain for that night.

She holds a japa mala of prayer beads in her right hand and a kamandalu water pot in her left. Her hair is tied up in an ascetic's topknot instead of a crown, and she stands barefoot on an open lotus. Her sari is white, the colour of night two of Navratri 2026.

She is part of our Navadurga series: one devi for each night of Navratri.
