Chandraghanta Keychain · Navratri Night 3

Chandraghanta is the third of the nine forms of Durga: Parvati as the bride of Shiva, wearing a half moon shaped like a bell on her head. Her name means just that, moon and bell. She is worshipped on the third night of Navratri, and this is our keychain for that night.

She has ten arms. Her left hands hold a trishul, a gada, a sword and a kamandalu water pot, and the fifth gives a blessing. Her right hands hold a lotus, an arrow, a bow and a japa mala, and the fifth is raised to say "fear not". Her tigress lies at her feet, and her sari is red, the colour of night three of Navratri 2026.

She is part of our Navadurga series: one devi for each night of Navratri.
