Kalaratri Keychain · Navratri Night 7

Kalaratri is the seventh of the nine forms of Durga, and the fiercest. Her name means the Dark Night: the night that ends even death. She looks terrifying, but only to what is harmful, and she always blesses her devotees, which is why she is also called Shubhankari, "she who does good". She is worshipped on the seventh night of Navratri, and this is our keychain for that night.

Her hair is wild and loose, with a flash of lightning in it and hibiscus flowers at her ears, as her verse describes. She raises a sword and an iron hook in her left hands, and her right hands bless: one says "fear not", the other gives. She rides a donkey, and her sari is grey, the colour of night seven of Navratri 2026.
